About our horse training
We offer many different types of training for you and your horse. We will get your colt started, finish your green broke horse, tune-up your finished horse, or fix specific problems you’re having with your horse or that your horse is having with you. We will also work with you to make you a better rider and horse person. Whether you want our help for a day, a week, or a month, we will work with you to achieve your equestrian goals.
B.J. is an amazing trainer he has years of experience working with horses including breeding, training, rodeo and ranching. With over 15 years in Natural Western Horsemanship. He will take the time to figure out how to help the horse and he will never force a horse. B.J. has a natural ability with horses and a patience that is needed for more difficult horses. Every horse is different and we work with them to find out: what makes them happy, what makes them feel safe and comfortable and gain their trust when you have these factors we truly believe you can get a horse to do anything you wish! We also spend the time to work with you and your horse and will give you great tips so you both can continue to strive.

"I was twelve when I broke my first horse. I fell in love with it and have been training them steadily since then. I trained my first calf roping horse when I was sixteen. I have started and finished many horses since then that have gone on to mountain trails, rodeo arenas, cattle ranches, and show arenas. I train horses not because it’s a way to make money, but because it’s a passion. I take a lot of pride in my skills and the finished product of a well-trained horse. I am not here just to take your money, I’m here to help you get the horse of your dreams, and get you more confidence in your own skills!
People have often asked me “Do you train using the Parelli methods?” or “Do you start horses the way Ray Hunt does?”. The answer is no and yes, let me explain. I train horses the way Benny Kober trains horses. That is to say that I use methods and skills that I have learned from many trainers such as Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman, John Lyons, my father, my friends, and the methods that I have taught myself and learned from the horses I have trained. I use a mixture of many things. Are you an individual with your own unique personality and attitude? So is your horse! That is why I believe there is no set method to use for every horse. I customize the training and methods to fit you and your horses needs. We will sit down together to determine what your training needs are. Whether you want to use your horse for trail riding, roping, ranching, hunting, or for any other western horse application, we have the ability and knowledge to give you and your horse the skills you will need."
