About Us
Kober Quarter horses is a small family business all about horses!! It is run by Benny (B.J.) Kober and his wife Angie Kober. They reside in Bozeman, Gallatin County, Southwest Montana. With their 3 dogs Roper, Louis and Grace and their many beloved horses!
B.J. was born and raised in Belgrade, Montana and has years of experience working with horses including breeding, training, rodeo and ranching. Angie was born and raised in the UK and moved over to Montana to be with B.J., her background is predominantly sales and web based and she mainly runs the office and website for Kober Quarter Horses, although her passion is animals in general! Her horse riding skills and experience is mainly with British saddle so B.J. is 'training' her too!
About B.J.
I was raised chasing cows on a horse. My parents always had and raised horses and we worked them on our friends’ cattle ranch. I learned early, from my father, how to ride and work with horses. I was twelve when I broke my first horse. I fell in love with it and have been training them steadily since then. I trained my first calf roping horse when I was sixteen. I have started and finished many horses since then that have gone on to mountain trails, rodeo arenas, cattle ranches and show arenas.
I train horses not because it’s a way to make money, but because it’s a passion. I take a lot of pride in my skills and the finished product of a well-trained horse. I am not here just to take your money, I’m here to help you get the horse of your dreams, and get you more confidence in your own skills!
