Roma is a Big beautifull Percheron cross Shire draft horse. She was foaled in 2002 .

 

Roma is broke to ride English and Western saddle and was 'kid broke' but she hasn't been rode right now for over a year. She went to gal that just couldn't keep her anymore as she didn't have time for her, so for the past year she has got her own way, been spoilt, lazy and just been out on pasture.

 

She is a sweetie but is lazy and needs someone who has the time to tune her up. We don't as we have too many outside horses in for training. She is not and probably won't ever be your 'fast' horse, she just likes to plod along and sometimes trot. Would make a great dude string horse, mule mare or hunting horse. We are honest about our horses and although with some work she will be a beginners horse (as she was before) right now she has some 'attitude' problems that work out of her pretty quickly after a few 'go rounds' but she is not suitable as she stands right now for a beginner - needs an intermediate rider to put a few miles on her first. Not mean though - her attitude is more 'huh I am too big to do that, I don't want to do that and you can't make me!!'

 

She is easy to catch, load, haul, trim etc. Has excellent ground manners and will stand good for someone climbing on her.

 

She stands 15.3h / 16h and is built like a barrel - weighs around 1600-1700 pounds.

  

She changes color constantly - she has been blue roan, grey, white and now she is looking dappple gray!

 

She has a lovely disposition kind and just a gentle giant.
